BV206 Track

Track Conversion

To convert a BV206 from an external to internally driven track system requires a simple track and sprocket change. The conversion will not induce any detrimental effects on a vehicle performance but will enhance it in many areas such as durability of components, less noise and vibration and reduced maintenance.

Migration to Soucy roadwheels can be conducted through running changes, as they are interchangeable with current aluminium wheels and have been validated for multi-version usage. Soucy can provide a Hydraulic tensioner which would replace the tensioning screw. This allows for easier track tension whilst saving time in track replacement

Track Features

SOUCY’s internal drive features

The guide and drive lugs are made with FULL RUBBER which produces no corrosive features. The track is designed with ARAMID cords which reduces elongation promoting less track adjustment. The track is manufactured using COMPRESSION moulding.

SYSTEM PARTS

Sprockets UHMWP

Soucy manufacture an Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) sprocket. This very tough material has the highest impact strength of any thermoplastic presently on the market and is also highly resistant to abrasion.

Open Design Sprockets

Soucy designed a new open designed sprocket for use in arctic conditions. The open design prevents the build-up of snow and ice which alleviates drive loss.

Roadwheels

Soucy have a specially designed road wheel constructed of UHMW with built-in aluminium hub. All roadwheels are pre machined with all hardware provided (Bearings).

We Propose a Turn-Key Solution

All parts are included in Soucy’s track kits. You have the choice of two different tensioning systems

Manual Tensioner

The manual tensioner is fitted as standard to the BV206, Soucy have however made an increase in the length of the adjustment screw to aid operators in track adjustment.

Hydraulic Tensioner

The hydraulic tensioner can be fitted to replace the manual version; this allows for easier track tensioning whilst also saving time on track replacement. It’s a simple bolt on conversion and is operated by standard military grease (MIL-G-10924E).

MAIN BENEFITS

Reduced Noice & Vibration

With no steel-on-steel contact in the internally driven rubber track, as well as the replacement of the aluminium by UHMV roadwheel, noise and vibration are reduced drastically.

Reduced Weight

Our internally driven rubber track is reduced by approximately 100 Kgs compared to other externally driven tracks.

Lower Maintenance

Due to the introduction of the Aramid Cords, the need for track adjustments is decreased. The time to change a track system decreases by 50%.
